If you’re looking for a GP near Springvale, Mediclinic in Clayton South is only two stops away by train, or a short drive west. Springvale is a busy, multicultural centre with a large Asian community, many families and a strong local shopping strip. Many Springvale residents have chosen to stay with one GP for years, and that continuity is something we value too.
Ongoing care for Springvale families
Seeing the same GP over time means you don’t have to retell your story at each visit. It also means changes in your health are easier to notice. People from Springvale often see us for:
- Long-term conditions. Such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and asthma. Your GP can set up a care plan that brings in our onsite podiatrist, dietitian or physiotherapist where suitable. See Chronic disease management.
- Family health. Check-ups, illness, immunisations and medical certificates for all ages. See General and family medicine.
- Asthma and breathing problems. Our Nurse Practitioner Vara Perikala is an Asthma Educator. See Asthma and respiratory care.
- Practical support. Regular patients can be referred to our Support Workers for help with NDIS and DSP applications, housing, family violence support and advocacy. See Patient support services.
- Drug and alcohol care. Confidential, non-judgemental support from GPs with a special interest in addiction medicine and an AOD Nurse Practitioner. See Drug and alcohol.
Language support
Our team includes practitioners who speak Mandarin and Shanghainese (Dr Xue-Feng Hu), Malay (Dr Robina Hanafi), and German and basic Spanish (Dr Vivian). If you’d like to speak in another language, ask for a free interpreter through the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) when you book. Our staff also support the National Relay Service for people with hearing or speech difficulties.
