If you’re looking for a GP near Noble Park, Mediclinic in Clayton South is a direct train trip away on the same line. Noble Park is one of Melbourne’s most culturally diverse suburbs. Many families in the area have arrived in Australia in recent decades. We know that health care is easier when you feel understood, can access an interpreter, and get help with the things outside the consulting room that affect your health.
More than a medical appointment
Health is shaped by housing, money, safety and family life. Our GPs work alongside Support Workers who help regular patients with:
- NDIS and Disability Support Pension (DSP) applications
- Housing support
- Family violence support
- Child and family welfare
- Advocacy and referrals to other services
You need a referral from your Mediclinic GP. See Patient support services.
Health care for the whole family
Noble Park residents also see us for:
- Children’s health and immunisations. Including catch-up vaccines for children new to Australia. See Children’s health and immunisations.
- Family medicine. Check-ups, illness, medical certificates and referrals. See General and family medicine.
- Long-term conditions. Diabetes, heart disease and asthma care plans. See Chronic disease management.
- Drug and alcohol care. Confidential, non-judgemental support from GPs with a special interest in addiction medicine and an AOD Nurse Practitioner. This includes support for families. See Drug and alcohol.
Interpreters and languages
If you’d like to speak in your own language, ask for a free interpreter through the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS) when you book. Some of our practitioners also speak Mandarin, Shanghainese, Malay and German. For people with hearing or speech difficulties, we can use the National Relay Service.
In an emergency, call 000 or go to your nearest hospital emergency department. For urgent care when we are closed, see our after hours options.
